Park City Nightlife

Many wonderful discoveries have taken place in the last century through medical research, space travel, and technology.  One of the best discoveries of all time which also happens to be one of the best kept secrets is the party life of Park City, Utah.  This is the new party town, USA.  Nightclubs filled with entertainment go on and on and on throughout the evening.  No normal human being can experience all that can be encompassed on this majestic mountain top.  Piano bars, sports bars and karaoke bars are just a few of the venue types available for your pleasure.  Remember, this rockin’ town is in Utah, so if you don’t behave yourself, you may also see jail bars.

Live music and dancing are the backbone to regalement in this old mining town.  Club after club after club bands perform at maximum volume each with their own brand of music. The atmosphere in the cool of the evening pulsates to the various rhythms.  Take them in. Bodies will be swaying to the tempos almost involuntarily and even if you don’t know how to dance you will be overcome with the desire.

Not every visitor comes to drink and dance the night away.  Some bring families who enjoy a more melancholy evening of culture and quietude.  Park City’s Eccles Center for the Performing Arts is a focal point of enlightenment presenting theater, symphonic concerts, classical musicians, artists and a cavalcade of other performers and celebrities.  Musicals, theater, drama and comedy can all be relished in the Egyptian Theater.

Park City’s Main Street is the main is the hot bed of activity.  Within walking distance you can hit the hottest spots in town.  Make your way to 352 Main and you’ll hear the laughter, music and gaiety before you even walk through the front door.  The Spur has great bands and cocktails and it’s a terrific place for meeting someone new on the dance floor.

Put your shoes back on then head on over to The No Name Saloon at 447 Main.  The saloon has a history.  Those who are regulars will remember way back when it was called the Alamo.  New ownership didn’t like that name but couldn’t come up with a new one so they didn’t give it a name.  It stuck.  Other than the great sandwiches and tasty drinks, it’s got creativity.  Hanging from the middle of the ceiling is a motorcycle. It doesn’t do much but makes a great conversation piece.

Down at the base of Park City Mountain resort is the Pig Pen Saloon.  Skiers love this hot spot.  Après ski right to the door.  Kick off the skis and join the fun.  The beer is great and the burgers are even better.

There are many other hot spots waiting to become your favorites but that won’t happen till you get here.  When you do, ask me to dance.
